As much as I despise Obama, I do not disagree with this course of action. ‘The best and brightest?’ They’re the idiots that drove the company into the ditch in the first place. A pox on them all. The concept of a bonus usually is considered when a.) a good to great job has been done b.) the company made enough money to pay it. They are beyond broke and deserved to go under. The fact that they have a health plan and a paycheck that doesn’t bounce should be the biggest bonus they get. The sense of exceptionalism and entitlement on Wall Street is only surpassed by that of our beloved Congress.
