Putin’s propaganda lords are finding out that self-funded tools like Greenwald and Alex Jones are inherently unreliable and undisciplined, no matter how slavishly loyal they have been so far. They could well interfere with larger propaganda objectives, particularly when they come in conflict with more disciplined stooges like Wikileaks.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out, especially now that Greenwald’s protector, erstwhile Brazilian president Dilma Rousseff, was impeached and thrown out of office at the end of August. Her replacement, 76 year old lawyer Michel Temer, was personally targeted by Wikileaks and therefore seems a good deal less likely to play along with Kremlin intrigue of any kind.
