Well, one unintended consequence of the recession is that Corzine doesn’t have nearly as much money to spend on reelection. Well, that and a divorce. He’s got to suck up to donors for campaign contributions.

Which means that one of the reasons to choose Corzine goes by the wayside - he can’t be perceived as being above being bought. Now? He’s just another hack politician.
