Anyone else loving the political optics today? You have McConnell standing at his podium crying about Democrat’s tactics and being forced to say no to everything and thousands of people out on the streets demonstrating.

I bet Trump is seething. He loves optics. He won’t like these. But he will Tweet angrily about them.

My wife and I woke up early this morning and drove out to Captree Park to take photos of the sunrise, and CBS Radio News had me yelling at my radio.

The both-sided the shutdown to death, running McConnell quotes from last night with zero context regarding his inability to get 50 votes from his own goddamn side and tacitly blaming Democrats for ‘blocking’ R legislation.

That concerns me because people who aren’t paying attention like us will hear those reports and conclude ‘both sides bad.’ I thought ‘the media’ was sympathetic to our side?
