All Trump statements come with an expiration date - and his supporters don’t care that all of his positions are fluid and undeterminable. He can flip-flop on stuff even within minutes of stating them.
For instance, his claims that he’d build a wall are widely reported. He further stated that the wall would include natural barriers like rivers, deserts, and mountains. That pretty much means he doesn’t have to do more than what Congress has already authorized to do. His supporters will ignore the latter, thinking that a wall will be built - and Mexico will pay for it (hint: they wont - and they used Trumpian language to denote their anger at Trump’s BS).
