Here I was, thinking that a big part of American conservatism meant that all people, regardless of their race, religion, creed, color, or consensual sexual preference, were afforded the same equal rights under the constitution. I guess that’s just the way I interpret conservatism: staying the bloody fuck out of other people’s lives who are committing no real crimes.

I can not express in words strong enough to convey how angry I am at the contravention of the ideal of conservatism, to be mean that certain Americans are less equal than others. And that anger is reserved not for liberals who claim that conservatism is “this or that”, but self proclaimed conservatives who do.
