There is no Proof he was ever a practicing muslim tho. His Koranic studies were done in a Madrassa as far as I know while his mom was marryed to and living in INdonesia with Lolo Soetoro. I find it much easier to believe that his religion is the one he himself chose as an adult. Rather than the most popular religion in the areas he was a child in and whose clegy educated him.

He was registered in Public School in Indonesia as a Muslim.
He took Koranic studies , which are advanced Islamic studies.
His friends remember the family going to Mosque.
He is a Christian convert now, but it sure looks like he was a Muslim at one time.
