re: #405 NelsFree

When I was a teenager, about 16, I associated with a straight guy who had gay friends. Two of them visited his house one day while I was there. One of them took me aside and said, (based on nothing I had done) that I would enjoy homosexual acts, and it was his opinion that I was really gay inside. I was sure enough of myself to say that he was very wrong, and I promptly left.
I would not allow gays to influence my children. I do not believe gays should be allowed to get married. I would not support legislation allowing gay marriage.

Women and teenaged girls deal with creepy advances like that from men all the time. I don’t any more, because I’m married and middle-aged, but when I was young and single? Quite a few. I was very lucky that none of the guys who approached me like that refused to take no for an answer, and I’m really happy that the “date rape” drugs didn’t exist back then.

But your story is not that big of a deal, at least from this hetero female’s standpoint.
