You know what I mean though, how rugged is rugged in a modern and wealthy society with resources at your disposal? You can live in the middle of nowhere on Mt. Hood in oregon, not see a soul for miles, but still get a bunch of fixins at Home Depot with no trouble, Fed Ex delivers, etc.

yes, it’s all about choices, but NM is still a vast, empty place if you want rugged solitude, you will find it here
