I think Ace-o-Aces was referring to Luther’s fanatical anti-Semitism. He said stuff that wasn’t heard again until Julius Streicher came along.

Aware of that. He was far from perfect, but he did establish some useful ideas in theology that led to better things:

The notion that everyone is equal before God led us to realize that everyone should be equal before the Law.

The notion that everyone should be free to read and form their own opinions about the Bible led to the notion that everyone should be educated.

Very revolutionary ideas for the times.
