Disco Demolition Night, at Comiskey Park in 1979. The rowdy fans caused so much commotion and damage that the White Sox were obliged to forfeit the second game of their double-header with the Detroit Tigers.

But please do remember those were White Sox fans. (North Side and the Cubs, if it takes forever!) :D

ahh, that’s right ! Disco Demolition Night. What a brilliant idea that turned out to be ! Well - to be fair, I heard an interview with the DJ, he said he did his job, he packed the stadium out via the promotion. Plus, he didn’t know the fans would riot. I still maintain it was a bit ill-conceived though :)
