That reminds me of Lea De Laria’s standup routine in the 90s I saw on Channel 4. She was saying that she was in a shop where there was 10% off if you were a lesbian, and she saw someone else coming to the till, and, asked if she was a lesbian, she said no.

And Lea’s like: “WHY?!?! IT’S 10% OFF!! JUST SAY YOU’RE A LESBIAN!!! IF IT WAS A CHRISTIAN SHOP AND IT WAS 20% OFF, I’D BE GOING ‘HAAALLELUIJAAH!!’”

So, I’m just thinking, if there’s enough Dems in the town who are not well known to the shop owners, and enough MAGA hats to go around, just go in their and take advantage of the 20% off. Given it’s Long Island, this shop might find they’re onto a loser.
