Though keep in mind that since everything is open source and thoroughly documented there is no proprietary information the tech support has. If you hire skilled and experienced programmers they are your tech support and any other programmer who has worked on the same software can step in. It’s enormously liberating.

I remember the ordeal we went through to get a revision to tsapi.dll from Microsoft, it took 8 months.
