I always loved the Spurs, because Pop always had them play like a team. Even when they had stars like The Admiral or Duncan, there was always a really solid team behind them.
Brad Stevens’ coaching reminds me a lot of Pop. He had those kids punching way above their weight for a while, but the string ran out finally.
Boston’s going to be a handful next year. The team that got within a game of the Finals, with Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward back on the floor? That team’s going to be a headache for everybody.
Better hope Kyrie doesn’t get spooked by having too much talent around that might lessen his chances to be the biggest star on the team. Kyrie is a strange dude.
