That’s it. It’s time to break out usage rules for the Oxford comma so as to avoid the problem of little CCJ wannabes claiming to be of divine (and quite possibly insane) origins:
This book is dedicated to my parents, Ayn Rand and God
Proper comma usage is key to understanding. And avoiding messy situations and trying to explain that your parents are a dead woman and a supernatural being. It might have worked back when we were using tea leaves to divine the future, but there’s a reason the Oxford comma is needed. It’s about clarity. :0
