No, it’s not good news because it speaks volumes about our economy. And that’s not good. I don’t care about the Times political positions.

They were in trouble before the economy tanked. Current political leanings aside, I think the bigger worry is that the government steps in and by dint of ownership supplants the supposed freedom of the press.

And we get the “official view” the way the Europeans do.
