Then you might consider buying Tropico 4 on Steam. Comes with the game’s expansion and will allow you to reacquaint yourself with the series before you plunge into Tropico 5. And it’s definitely cheaper not that it’s been out for a few years.

Not a bad idea. Tropico 4 was well reviewed, people seem to like it.
