Geez. The Russian couple upstairs are having a huge (verbal) fight. I think the man just ran down. I’m glad I’m single. God, they’re loud when they fight.

It’s actually a bunch of Israeli Arab kids singing in Arabic on Israeli TV — hence the menorah logo in the upper left. But by an amazing cosmic coincidence, the Arabic chorus biladi, biladi biladi, which gets repeated over and over, sounds almost exactly like the Russian words for “dirty fucking whores, fucking whores, fucking who-o-o-res” — as spelled out in the Cyrillic subtitles purportedly “translating” the song.

In any case, Russians absolutely adore the expression “dirty fucking whore” and use it constantly, so this will probably sound like sweet music to your neighbors, and they’ll stop fighting…
