The last time I went to the ER, with insurance, it cost me something like $3500.

I fell and broke my ankle in 2004. Not having insurance, I stayed home and self-treated with ice packs and ace bandage. It was not until 3 years later, when I had an insurance plan, I had x-rays which discovered the old fracture.

I am disabled now because of that.
