I think he pretty much had it publicly until the town halls scared the shit out of some seniors and they started tearing up their cards. Go back a week or two, and you’ll find the AARP was much more vocal in their support. No question they still support a plan, though no particular bill yet. If it pleases you to think the AARP endorsement is a lie, I don’t mind, since it’s just a matter of spin.
