Because it requires an unholy combination of mythical nationalism, anger at feeling oppressed when you “should be the master,” fear of the “other,” religious intensity and a desire to punish those perceived as taking that mythical nation from the common person who is just ed up and “going to take it back.”

That is the central nazi message.

It is also the central message of Stalin and Mao and to some extent, Ceasar.

The Dems are not giving that message.

I also did not say that we would have an “American Hitler.” We are not there yet. I said that were are hearing the same message and the same patterns of the early days of the Reich are happening here. Remember the Nazis started out small, as a fringe group.

But there have been times when they have.
And they’ve had their small fringe groups as well.

Which is why I said earlier - we can’t be afraid ONLY of right-wing loons. They all must be watched.
