Thank you and I don’t mean to come off as hating gun owners. I do not like guns, I will admit that here, I have my reasons- personal ones for doing so but I don’t begrudge people who do but I just think too often gun owners or more accurately the gun political lobby shuts down any reasonable conversation we could have on the subject. I really don’t think it should be more difficult to operate a car than a gun. I realize that firearm ownership is constitutionally guaranteed but A) they were writing that before the arms revolution that accompanied the Industrial Revolution and industrialization and B) We have a serious problem in this country with gun violence.

I have always owned weapons because I used to love hunting, but I’m old and disabled now, I have them now just for my protection at home,
