Here’s a snip from MY Omaha Beach speech:

“American blood was spilled on this beach. Damn fine American men and boys gave their lives to save Europe from tyranny and genocide. The only thanks we have ever asked was to join us in our quest for freedom and democracy for all. That’s all we will ever ask in return. If that’s too much to ask, then please let us know.”

Lately they are sure letting us know.

The Brits, Canadians, Polish, Norwegians, Free French………. In fact, the entire British Second Army……… would like you to know that, today of all days………
