From my perspective (damn am I getting my mileage out of that phrase tonight) in the past the LGF community overwhelmingly openly supported things like torture. In that atmosphere I determined my voice would be incredibly unwelcome. Maybe that remains the case, maybe I have evolved, I know LGF has evolved, and in today’s environment I feel far more incentive to respond to the ongoing dialog I find here. Take that for what it is worth.

There is this fascinating phenomenon where people think the comments are the driving force of this community. They’re not- it’s our host. And I’m not sure which of his articles from the past he’s supposed to now find unworthy of being re-linked on his own blog. Have the comments moderated, sure. But when I speak of LGF’s past, I’m not talking commenters. LGF’s articles speak for themselves.
