His action was planned long-term, carried out by a large team of like-minded individuals recruited from several walks of life, backed to a considerable degree by a state that described itself as an Islamic state, and one of a series of attacks made by an organization that describes itself as Islamic.

If you absolutely demand to lump these two acts of violence in the same bin, far be it from me to stop you. However, I can’t think of many open-minded or productive reasons to do so.

I’m not alone. The UK government has already determined this was a terror attack. I think most people would agree that this was terrorism. I’m afraid you’re in the minority on this one.
