Spirit, according to Schultz, had a criminal history and pleaded guilty to a 2003 felony arms violation. According to the Orlando Sentinel, Spirit was sentenced to three years in prison for the violation, stemming from a hunting accident in which his son was shot to death.

He says Spirit is the only suspect and that some people were left alive at the home.

Guess I’m weird, because I can honestly say that if I shot a family member to death, especially my own offspring, I’d never want to touch a gun ever again.
