That would require a new amendment to the Constitution, or a complete breakdown of our government’s checks and balances. For the latter, both Congress and the Supreme Court would have to be wiling to let the executive branch supplant them.

I’m not saying it’s impossible, but it’s unlikely, IMO.

Also, Trump is no spring chicken. I’m not sure he could survive eight years as president.
