My brother had an interesting idea. If Trump can pardon himself, then presumably Biden could shoot the conservative Supreme Court Justices, pardon himself, and then appoint replacements. (Confirmations could be difficult, of course.)

This is the reason that self-pardons are obviously not legal. You don’t make a list of instructions and rules for the president to follow and then have the last one be “You can just ignore this and do whatever you want with no consequences if you fill out this form.”
