But targeted tax cuts - whether advocated by Rs or Ds - are just the right medicine to combat a recession.

They are the aboslute worst thing to do to an economy that’s booming and with very low unemployment. This is the situation we’re currently experiencing.

(Not to mention that these cuts are targeted at the wealthy and will have almost no favorable effect on growth.)

Tax cuts now risk killing the economy by causing inflation to heat up, thus resulting in both growth and job killing high interest rates.
