Not to THIS American, who lost most of his interest in spectator sports like football by playing them in high school and then realizing that watching wasn’t as much fun.

Oh, I’d watch Superbowls if a team geographically associated with a place I cared about was playing, but otherwise…meh.

Same thing with cycling. Some folks will watch hours of the TdF daily for all of July. Me? I watch the mountaintop finishes, and I’ll watch the breakaways, hoping just once the peloton won’t swallow them up in the last 300 meters. And then only if I care about the GC contenders.

Otherwise…meh.

But that’s me and my peculiarity.

I can understand if you don’t like sports. So, it is not just football/soccer.
