Finally my wife the foot doctor comes in, asks where the surgeon got the graft from and diagnoses him in 10 seconds. He had a massive hernia in his diaphraghm and his bowels had extruded up into his chest cavity. No wonder he couldn’t breathe. My fasther never really recovered but he didn’t want to pursue the case becuse it wouldn’t do him any good. So we let it go. Surgeon is now chair of the department.
