Obdicut, if using the term “Prog” actually makes someone jump off the cliff - they have other issue’s to deal with. There are far harsher terms used here.

It doesn’t make anyone jump off a cliff. I’m not sure why there being ‘harsher terms’ has anything to do with this. Prog sure annoys the fuck out of me, mainly because the guy I know in politics who I respect the most and does the most actual good work is, actually, a progressive— Quintin Mecke. He has this strange idea that as long as we’re spending taxpayer money we ought to actually do effective things with it. What a ‘prog’.

Myself, I don’t use it but I will note that the term is used by regular Democrats and Progressives. Some do self-identify with it.

This is silly. It is clearly, often, used as an insult— and a very, very inaccurate insult, at that, given the vast spread of people and positions called ‘prog’ around here.

If anyone’s listening to the confirmation hearings, they are still attacking her through Justice Marshall, and she is holding her own with an admirable tenacity.
