Well the surgeon still should have come in and seen you. You probably developed what is colloquially called a liver clot, because the wound doesn’t clot properly at first but forms this liver like gelatin clot that just bleeds like a son of a bitch. Usually you got to clean the area out and start the clotting process over again. Sounds like that is what the other Dentist had to do. It should be fine now. Just make sure the tissue is all healed before they restore the implant.

That’s exactly what happened, and what the other dentist called it.

The surgeon works out of Peterson AFB, at the south end of town. They apparently have some kind of agreement between their clinic and the Academy about covering stuff after hours. Normally, the Academy handles everything, but Peterson covers emergencies during part of the summer and over the Christmas holiday period.
