You ever watch an episode of a crime drama where the defense attorney, stuck with a client who is (to use a legal term) ā€œguilty as fuckā€ and thereā€™s no real way to argue reasonable doubt that they committed the crime, so they instead try to throw up a huge smokescreen by delving into the actions and motives of the victims? Or trying the time-dishonored tradition of ā€œputting the system on trialā€?

No, Iā€™m familiar with the concept. Itā€™s just so bizarre. Is he seriously suggesting that Trumpā€™s extortion was a crime of passion?
