I think if the Iranian people are able to throw off the oppression of the Mullahs, President Bush will be greatly vindicated. Despite his other obvious problems, he stood by the Iraqis when no when else would. The Left (and many “moderates”) said horrible things about him, and he was threatened with war crime trials and impeachment for his efforts.

While AQ and Sadr’s armies butchered the Iraqi people, our soldiers and Bush were the only friends they had. The Dems (with Obama shouting the loudest) declared the war a miserable failure and wanted to retreat and declare defeat.

The fact that there is a free Iraq must have figured into the uprising. If Iran’s Mullahs fall, and a better regime is created, Obama and the Dems will have a lot of explaining to do.
