Well, obviously that’s why we’re paying so much for oil, because we’re exporting it all. Now, if we were using it all up, then gas would cost $.25/gal again!

That’s actually not far off. Americans are using less fuel than ever, so we’re exporting more than normal, but since supply and demand rules don’t apply in the oil business, our prices are as high as ever. The oil companies know they don’t ever have to lower prices again. We’ll pay whatever they ask.
