There is no doubt in my mind that if the Speaker were a Republican Jack Goldsmith wouldn’t have even written such an article. Anything out of a conservative’s mouth must be considered totally dishonest and deceptive.

I was annoyed by his “we must remove the legislature from the line of succession” after he acknowledges that almost everyone assumes that Speaker of the House is the next in line. He even says that the constitution calls legislators officers and yet tries to say there’s some ambiguity.
