Brings back memories of how KDKA’s Bill Currie continually needled Bowie Kuhn…

And I remember the BIG political fight over the construction of Three Rivers Stadium. Then County Commissioner Doc McClelland opposed building it because he said nothing could replace Forbes Field. McClelland lost his seat over that fight.

Then they said that Three Rivers would be built to last 100 years…It was torn down in 30 and replaced with two stadiums one for the Pirates and a separate one for the Steelers.

And, honestly, the Point looks better for it…
