Then it’s easier, as noted up above, to focus our attention on those who sat out the election than trying to win back those who voted for Trump for other reasons. It’s not a matter of excommunicating them from the flock, it’s just an acknowledgment that the flock cannot be led by a few wayward sheep.

A corrigible dumbass who will go to the polls is more valuable than a well-meaning slug who won’t. I’ll take votes where we can get them.
