Meh, unlikely I think. They pulled some of the same shit in California, and I think it was all just a cheap way of increasing confusion; now, rubles under the bridge.

Perhaps, but they put a lot more money and effort into the Texas movement since it was already established (if comical) and had a far more receptive audience. At one point, fully half the Texas GOP county committees endorsed at least a vote on secession.
