re: #55 Dizzy
You don’t have to tell me, I’m fully focused with my vote in hand. Unfortunately the choice is dismal. The Liberals have badly mismanaged the economy, the NDP are mostly in the BernieBro sphere, and the Conservatives under Ford are Trumpland light.
I don’t agree about the NDP. I like what Andrea Horvath is offering, and think it should at least be given a chance. Plus, NDP provincial governments have a better track record overall:
Growth in jobs, growth in wages, #NDP leading the country. #NDP BC - #NDP Alberta, leading the nation.#Onpoli #OnElxn pic.twitter.com/BB1Z7KfgyK

Fortunately under our system of government, Ford himself, who will likely be elected as head of the Conservatives (running comfortably ahead in polls), does not have as much influence and power as a governor or president in your political system.
Er, with a majority government, I’d say he has a lot more! At least in US statehouses, a rogue governor can be kept in check by the legislature.
My hope is that a minority government will be mandated, even if the Conservatives win.
Mandated? If they get the seats thanks to a Liberal vs NDP vote-split, they get the seats. I know of no precedent whatsoever for “mandating” a minority government.
