Why does this seem a strange post for a mother’s day thread?

I found it more than a tad crass. There are more than enough other threads for such. Time to celebrate the virtues of Western civilization for a bit.

And I say this as a full-throated Sailor. Rude, crude, and lewd is in my DNA.
