What bothers me about Fox News is that we seem to, as a society, have given up on the idea of objective reality. A recent example being that while most observers report roughly 100,000 at the recent D.C. tea party protests, an exclusive Fox News viewer might believe there were millions of people there. I am fine with “spin” to a certain extent, and do believe that the mainstream media tends to spin things pro-Democrat oftentimes. However, the answer can’t be to just shove our fingers in our ears, shout “left wing media bias” and make up facts as we see fit. I want my political beliefs to be based on reality, not my conception of reality tailored to jibe with my political beliefs.
