TPM Poll average has it within 1%. But the polls are all over the place.

A poll sponsored by Citizens United (yes, that Citizens United) has Akin up 5. Rasmussen has McCaskill up 6. PPP had McCaskill only up 1 (a month ago).

Really, I don’t think we have any clue what’s going to happen. But if Rasmussen says the Dem is up 6, I have to think that means Akin’s not going to win.

I figure that Akin must still be seen as competitive if the NRSC is risking giving him support again. If he was truly a goner, they probably would continue to enforce the freeze-out.
