Not looking to argue the matter but out of curiosity (since the post just has the brief comment & link), does your source include any info. on when this particular scan was done and if this was made available to the plaintiffs ?
Sincerely, just curious that’s all. BTW, if one has never been through the agony of having to make these kind of decisions - well, you just can’t imagine. I had to. I also thought I had it all worked out right up until putting pen to paper. The unexpected “variables” that pop out of the woodwork at the last minute(s) - family, friends,physicians, circumstances, “reading” too much into an “event”, sleep deprivation,conscience, coincidences,every conceivable argument pro & con - an unbearable ‘weight’. It isn’t as simple, cut & dried as one may think. Ever been a ‘line’ worker, complaining about the boss, thinking “they have it made” and then one day you become the boss ? Just one of those positions you really have to be in/go through to understand and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone - no matter how firm you think you are in your convictions. Another example would be “Roe” (vs Wade) and how she feels about her past decisions now.Not right and wrong, just a complete turn about and having to live with what you thought as ‘right’ so many years ago. Different from choosing and having to live with ‘avecdo’ colored appliances in 10 years down the road ! I’m not taking one side or the other here, just sayin’… And maybe you have been there/done that, I really don’t know. Please keep in mind what doesn’t translate in ‘puter speak. No innuendo, sarcasm, criticism here - just curious plain & simple. I remember the debate but not the CAT scans - hell, I don’t remember what I had for breakfast !
The best thing to do, no matter your age, is to put your ‘wishes’ in writing and make them well known to family and friends - you can spare them all a ton of grief !
