Frankly, I deplore this sort of behavior. It flies in the face of the free interchange of ideas to shout someone down who you disagree with, and it is just plain rude.

I’ve decried it for years when the Left was using these tactics to shut down discussion, and it is every bit as bad when the Right indulges in them.

The only noteworthy difference is the sudden interest of the media in such behavior, when it went without comment for years when perpetrated by Leftist thugs instead of the the thugs on the Right. How many pieings did Republican speakers have to put up with that were laughed off by the media? The inconsistency here is as appalling as the violation of civility itself.

the left has considered this acceptable behavior…you cannot expect people to sit back and not indulge
