They didn’t have nukes, and weren’t even remotely close to developing them. Our intelligence agencies knew this. None of this is in contention, these are facts, well established.

If Saddam had nukes, or was even close to having the chemical weapons we were told about, we wouldn’t have invaded…period. We invaded Iraq because we knew he didn’t have these capabilities. That was Bush’s modus operandi. He wanted an easy victory…and he didn’t plan for what to do after he got his easy victory.
