re: #603 SanFranciscoZionist
I do not agree that abortion is ‘the liberal preferred choice’.
I have seriously mixed feelings about permitting individuals to deny legal health care based on matters of conscience, which finally comes down to the fact that I believe an independent practitioner or agency should be free not to provide specific services as a matter of policy—but what about Kaiser? Does the pharmacist there get to not give me my prescription?
And finally, since I’m having a nice quiet evening so far: How is a Somali cabbie’s choice to reject a man with a dog or beer or his breath from getting into his cab different from a pharmacist refusing to fill a prescription for RU486?
In my mind, there is a vast difference between a pharmacist who believes RU486 aborts and results in the murder of a human life, and a cabbie who refuses to give a ride to a blind man with a dog.
Just think about it.
