The whole case really is a major example of how fucked up things are in the GOP. If Harris were a Democrat, this case would be the subject of national controversy and a campaign already being led to see him driven out of politics. But IOKIYAR, so he actually stands to profit by using the episode to attack his political enemies.

The guy runs a chain of for profit “bible schools” taking in a huge amount of government grants, while claiming to be a “small government” stooge. As soon as this story breaks, he starts quoting bible passages about how he’s being attacked.

He should be tossed in a hole and left there.
