I was just about to post something re: this - I heard all about it on a podcast recently. Pretty sure it was author Malcolm Gladwell’s appearance on the Star Talk show. Analyzing the story literally, Goliath had an identifiable medical condition and David was nearly the ancient equivalent of a sniper.

(Christian tradition getting it wrong? Say it ain’t so!)
